We just want it out of our house. Look at the board and see if you can tell exactly what burned it and where, if it was a loose connection, did a cap blow, or is it a particular component failure shorting to ground and blowing the board like the motor.

Lift the locking tab, slide the control board slightly left and then release it from the inner door panel. Opened up the panel and saw that the control board and wires going into the left side are burned.

Will replacing the control board and wire harness be sufficient for this issue? Don't mind fixing.but, what causes this?

A loose connection in the harness connector generated all the heat that burned up the board and took out the thermal fuse on the board supposedly to protect against this type of thing. In all likelihood the control board would need to be replaced (brand new, $200, but cheaper if refurbished and sold on *****), and the thermal fuse ($20), too.
